We are expecting an exciting swimming and diving season.  Starting this year we will be offering a year round swimming and diving program, thru our high school team and our USA sanctioned club team (East Coast Swim and Dive Club).  We will have the only dive club in Brevard.  This spring we will be fielding our first male and female water polo teams.  This year Bayside will co-sponsor, along with Palm Bay High School, the 2003 Cape Coast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at our home pool on October 15th thru the 17th.  In order to accomplish these team goals, we will need a lot of help from our swim team parents.  It takes a lot of money to run an ambitious program such as we are planning.  With school board budget constraints and the yearly cutting of athletic funds, our sport has almost had to become self-funded.  Our move to our new training facilities in Palm Bay, increasing and improving our swimming and diving training equipment, increased pool rental, insurance, transportation, and operational costs, will require a lot of fund raising and donations by our booster club members.  We also will be needing parents to become meet officials, timers, judges, and to run concessions at our home meets and at the CCC Championship meet in October.  As you can see, our parents are just as important as our swimmers and divers in having a successful aquatics program here at Bayside.  We are asking you to become an active and participating member of our booster club.  Please contact Kelly Trotter, Sandy Baldwin, or myself and let us know how you plan on participating and helping make Bayside Aquatics one of the top swim and dive programs in the STATE!!!!!
