STEPS FOR LUPUS 2003 will be taking place on Saturday, April 26th, 2003. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. at Bayside High School. The walk will start at 10:00 a.m at Bayside High School and will finish at the "Bayside Lakes Presents School Fest 2003 at the Majors". This is the second event that I have held to raise money for the Dorough Lupus Foundation, in the hopes of getting a step closer to a cure. I did Steps for Lupus 2001 for Make A Difference Day. I had a Terrific time then and I am sure I will have an awesome time this year!!! I really feel like we made a difference in 2001. People who had never even heard about Lupus now know what it is! We raised over $8,000 in donations!!! We all made a difference, and now it's that time again.
Each person who participates in the walk will get their own sponsors. You can download the sponsor form from this site. Please bring your sponsor form, along with your donations, when you register for the walk. Get your friends to join, or get clubs that you are involved in to join! The MORE who join, the MORE money we will raise!
We will have a table at "Bayside Lakes Present School Fest 2003 at the Majors". We will have information about LUPUS, Lupus cards for sale, and will also be auctioning off autographed feet!! Please stop by between 10am and 4pm!
We are trying to get as many schools to participate in CHANGE FOR LUPUS. Schools can collect money for 1 day up to 2-3 weeks. All the change will be donated to the Dorough Lupus Foundation. Last year 3 schools joined CHANGE FOR LUPUS. I would like to see if I could get twice as many this year!!!!
